brightspark is a brown tabby with fiery orange sunset hues to her pelt. she takes great pride in her appearance and takes it as a gift from starclan that her pelt is so beautiful with its ginger streaks and sections of brown, black, umber and ochre. her eyes are a startling mix of blue-green, always shifting and morphing, with flecks of sapphire within them. her nose is small and rose-red, surrounded by a round, soft face which is always smiling. one of her hindpaws is entirely black, and her claws are sharp and black, curved like the talons of a hawk.

the one and only

gifted with the talent to find the good in every cat around her, brightspark is always smiling and laughing, giving out compliments and generally being a pleasant companion to be around. her loyalty to her clan does not affect her friendships one bit and she tries very hard never to let the feeling of xenophobia get to her - she is down-to-earth, reasonable and canny when she needs to be, but much prefers to be spending time enjoying the good parts of life. she is completely organised down to the last point on the agenda, and likes things to run to order, almost causing her to become a little obsessive about orders sometimes. but a smile from a cat will set her back on track and bring her back to her lovely, pleasant side. she is not altogether valiant or intelligent, but her winning personality makes up for it where other braver or smarter cats fail. when it comes to other clans, brightspark wants to make friends most of all, but will be organised when it comes down to it and try to make a reasonable, well-thought-out decision weighing up her loyalties. over all, she is kind to all, even strangers, and just wants to be the best personality she can be.

where the sugar comes from

just a normal upbringing, in a normal clan, brightkit was somehow destined to be the friendly, beautiful feline she grew up to be. her three older brothers all doted on her, protecting her from the bad things in the world, and as a kit she never learned that things like evil or death ever happened. but then her aging father died when she reached the age of six moons; this might have killed the bright spark within some other cats, but not brightkit. she learned from it, mourned her father, and kept his love in her heart as a memory to draw on whenever she felt unhappy or lonely. she passed through her beginner-ship as an average cat. it seemed like she would become a breeder for sure, and she did, her two kits growing up and becoming mercenaries themselves. and then something happened - around the age of twenty-one moons, brightspark suddenly realised she had the ability to be so much more than just another cat: she could be the clan's future right there, sitting on her sleek-furred shoulders. all those moons of making friends and being the honest, genuine cat she effortlessly was, paid off in her friendships; she is popular and friendly with a sparkling personality that wins over any cat. she plans to have her second litter of kits soon, but just has to find a mate she knows will help her in her struggle to help riverclan grow and thrive.
