Storyline:
Akuma, monsters born from dead souls mistakenly recalled by their loved ones to the living world, are the weapons of the Millenium Earl, who is intent on the destruction of the world. Allen Walker has been cursed with an anti-Akuma weapon as his left arm and an eye that sees the former soul of the Akuma since his youth. He is also one of the few who contain "Innocence", a substance that allows him to kill Akuma and fight the Earl. With these powers, he joins the Black Order Organization as an Exorcist and sets out with other Exorcists to stop the Earl's attempts to annihilate the human race.

Main Characters:
Allen Walker - A generally goofy British boy of about fifteen, his anti-Akuma weapon is his left arm, which transforms into a giant metal claw, and is able to transform into a gun and a sword by the end of Volume 2. The first forms of Allen's anti-Akuma weapon has no name, but later it gains a new form, a smaller claw and white cloak called 'Crown Clown'. Allen was abandoned by his parents for being born with a deformed left arm and was adopted by a travelling clown named Mana. When Mana died in an accident, Allen unknowingly turned him into an Akuma and was cursed just before his left arm transformed into an anti-akuma weapon and destroyed the Akuma, Mana. The curse allows his left eye to see the souls of Akuma. Allen is also very sensitive about the souls of the Akuma being 'saved' by being destroyed by Innocence only, since the soul disappears if it is destroyed by anything else. He has the mentality that he wants to protect everyone else, even at the cost of himself.

Lenalee Lee - A caring and gentle Chinese girl of about sixteen, her anti-Akuma weapon is known as 'Dark Boots' which allow her to jump to great heights and fly through the air. While kind and nurturing around her friends and family, she is also fierce out on the battlefield. She has been with the Order for many years, having been taken away from her brother, Komui Lee, at a young age for possessing her Innocence and was held there against her will. Eventually her brother joined and she began fighting in the war as am Exorcist. She is very sensitive about her friends' well-being and thinks of 'the world' as the people that are important to her. She also has a great fear of Malcolm C. Leverrier, as it was him that caused much of the suffering in her life when she was first kept at the Order.

Lavi Jr. Bookman - A comedic red-head of about eighteen, he is the heir to the Bookman Clan. His anti-Akuma weapon is a hammer that can increase or lengthen to any size without changing the weight, simply called 'Iron Hammer'. As a junior Bookman, he is meant to have no emotional attachments and remain unbiased to any and all situations. However, he became attached to those in the Order, which he dutifully tries to hide from Bookman. He is very inquisitive and watchful, so almost no detail ever escapes his attention and he knows more than most, and has good control over his emotions. He gets great entertainment out of antagonizing his friends, especially Kanda, and often calls him by his first name to annoy him.

Yuu Kanda - A very moody, antisocial Japanese male of about 18 years, he wields a katana as his Anti-Akuma weapon, which goes by the name of "Mugen".  He has a quick temper amd hates pretty much everything, except Soba noodles amd Tempura. He does not like being called by his first name, and especially hates Lavi and Allen. Though he acts as though he doesn't care about anyone, often saying things along the lines of 'its not my problem', he often jumps in to help anyone in need. Though he dislikes almost everyone, there are some he's much more tolerant to, such as Noise Marie and Lenalee Lee.

Plotline: 
Allen Walker was left with nothing the day that Mana Walker died, and lost his foster father a second time the day he tried to resurrect him, but he never expected he'd gain a family again, until he was taken in by Noah's Family. Now he's going to have to repent for his sins, by helping the Earl and the Noah's destroy the Black Order for good…

Distortion is a spin-off of the D.Gray-Man series, in which Allen Walker is taken in by the Earl of the Millennium rather than Marian Cross and the Black Order starting from the point in which Allen tries to bring his foster Father, Mana, from the dead.

We are an open Roleplay forum and open to new members of all skills and ages and follow a general site-wide plotline and events that we hope ALL members get a role in or some spotlight. Want to contribute your own plot ideas and events? Then feel free to discuss them with the admins! Your ideas may or may not be applied to the forum's plot, but there's no harm in asking!

You may play either original characters OR you can choose to play a cannon character(please be sure to read the rules for both, which there is a link to each in the main Rules thread), and of course, if you want, you can play both original and cannon characters!

If participating in main plot and large events doesn't catch your fancy or you want to do something that's completely different from the rest of what's going on with the forum - perhaps you want to do a comedy/crack RP, or you just want to do an RP between yourself and another character that doesn't have to do with a plot, or you want to RP along the lines of the official DGM, and EVEN if you want to RP a D.Gray-Man crossover with ANOTHER SERIES or characters from another series(i.e. Naruto, One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist, etc.) - then you're in luck! We have a section where you can RP whatever you want without restrictions!(just keep it appropriate please, as stated in the Rules )
