A Shadowy Revolution

Shadowclan has fallen into chaos.

A mysterious murder has taken the life of Shadowclans previous Superior, Scentstar. While normally this would not be such a problem, her successor, Longtail, has mysteriously disappeared.

It is to much of a coincidence to be mere accident. But what can the clan do, there are no clues leading anyone to either the murderer or the disappearance. So they did the only thing they could do. Accept Rustheart, the Aide, as their new Superior.

Despite what you might think, it was not because he was well liked. He is a cat filled with ambition, disdain toward the opposite sex, and an aggression that screams of impending war.
He was chosen because of his strength, his determination to do the best for his clan. Six moons ago, when the clan asked him to step up as Superior, he seemed the best choice despite his flaws.

Now however, there is cause for complaint as the males rise up to take power, leaving the females behind as mere slaves to do their biding.

With so little females in the clan, they can do nothing about the injustice being done to them. They would rebel, but the deaths that would bring them isn't worth the effort. And now Rustheart turns his attentions to the other clans, hoping to spread his power across the land...

And the only cat that can stop his scheming ambition is to far away and lost to do anything about it...

Anyway I can get my cats involved?
I have Dawnkit in Shadowclan, and I hope to make Lowpaw (Lowblow) and Nightfall in the near future. Lowpaw was born in Shadowclan, but went off to join Windclan. Nightfall will be be a Shadowclan tom.

brightstar the riverclan leader is happy-go-lucky and not entirely brave, but she won't go down without a fight to the end. i mean, she is very pretty; mayhap rustheart could woo her into submission, and her clan could lose faith in her, and she would believe him when he says she could keep being ruler and their clans would be "allies" when, knowing rustheart, what he's going to do is one day just take the rule of riverclan and make her totally subordinate. if he needs a plan of action, perhaps the apparent softness of brightstar would make him choose riverclan as his first target for his whole 'taking over the clans' thing.

and obviously onyxheart is going to be right beside him, scheming and plotting to the end, the brains to rustheart's slightly zanier brains and more brawn. i was thinking - this is tentative, though - that onyxheart could have a major crush on rainlegs when he first sees her; and from there... i don't know, rebellion, outcry, rainlegs using him cruelly to get her clan back together. something, i'm not quite sure, guess i'll figure it out later.

... aaaaaaand hawkpaw's generally useless right now. :3

Well. Goldenheart want's to play a part in this. Once she has mated n such, I has a nice little plan. If Late says it OK I may have Goldenheart ahve an uproar. She doesn't want her kits being raised like this, so she flips her lid completely. Now not to cause a complete defence, I was thinking Rustheart like beats her up, or somebody does. Her mate (THIS IS IF LATE AGREES) gets panicked, and trys to seek cover in one of da other clans.

Lol. Rustheart wooing Brightstar? Lol, I would love to see him do that. It would kill him inside. But hey, why not?

As for the Rainlegs thing... I guess that's up to Elmo

I really want to have Dawnkit play a large role returning the power to the females. She's still young now, but when she gets older, I'd like to see her taking a stand and proving males wrong, and showing how strong females can be.

Lowpaw, I was thinking he could prove to be useful to many cats, since he was born in Shadowclan. I thought he could be used by Rustheart as a spy in Windclan.
Lowpaw will of course remain forever loyal to his new clan, but he could always be put in a very tight position in which he is forced to listen to Rustheart.

As for Nightfall... I'm not sure what I want him to do.
Magpie: Nightfall is not the type of cat who would leave his clan... but I can see him trying to get his mate and kits out of danger and into another clan, or something like that... I also see him retaliating against Rustheart if he ever strikes his mate... He may seek help from other clan cats if it does get too serious.
What do you have in mind? Maybe we can compromise, somehow.

I suddenly had this really great idea!
I was thinking about that Secret Water thing that's going on in Shadowclan. How about I have Nightfall suggest in building a dam; he'll mention that it will take a long time, be a lot of hard work, and be very dangerous.
Then the females could be forced to work on the dam. The female Greenhorns could be used to do the apprentice tasks around camp, while the female Amateurs could be used to do apprentice tasks outside of camp, as well as work on the dam. Birthers, who can afford to be away from their kits, and other females could also work on the dam.
This would give the males a lot of extra spare time to hunt and train.
I thought it was a great idea...

Rainlegs would so do something like that, use Oxynheart for her own goals. She is extremely loyal to her clan, like crazy loyal, so yeah I'm total liking that idea.

As for the dam in Shadowclan, that sounds great too! It'll push the females that much further into slavery ;D

Everyone in Shadowclan will be involved, as well as the other clans when Rustheart starts some tension, but not everyone can be majorly involved.

Latepath: Dawnkit standing up against the males is kind of suicidal. I'm not saying she can't, but be warned, lol.
As for Lowpaw being a spy, Rustheart wouldn't do that. He wouldn't trust him becuase he had left the clan to being with.

As for the dam, I love that idea. Like Elmo said it would be a great way to drive the females into more slavery

I understand that what Dawnkit is doing will get her in a lot of trouble, over and over again... And I'm almost certain that she'll get quite a few scars and punishments out of it, but she's not the type who would give up.

And the Lowpaw, idea is understandable.

I'm glad everyone's liking my dam idea, though!
